Mountain of Dreams No. 0015 — Moon
Nature made the design. I'm just complimenting it.
The crack became the mountain.
One mountain in every piece. A different sky each time.
The natural driftwood crack sets the mountain side and the frame.
Mike's flagship work — burned by hand, sealed with beeswax, on hemp.
Nothing stained. Nothing printed. Just wood and fire.
The particulars
This disc didn't just crack — it calved. The mountain's lower half rides on its own wedge of wood, split clean from the top, and on that fallen piece Mike burned the fullest root system in the edition: the mountain's underground, exposed. A small amber ring of a moon watches from the left. Some pieces hide their roots. This one shows you everything. Don't wear jewelry? Hang it from your mirror. It rides with you. Hand-burned by a human — no laser, ever. Sealed in beeswax. This piece is dw-mod-0015, numbered once and never repeated.

The wood has the last word.

Take it off for showers and swimming. If it gets wet, dry it slowly at room temperature.
On wax-finished pieces, rub in a little plain beeswax and buff with a soft cloth. Labor of Love is boiled in beeswax: refresh it the same way to keep that finish.
